PENSHAM - Royal Assent 18th May 1810

Rev. the Dean and Chapter or the Collegiate Church of St Peter in Westminster are Lords of the Manor Of Pensham aforesaid and the Rev. Benjamin Bedford is their Lessee and Lord Farmer thereof. Edward Wigley esquire is the Owner of a is the Owner of a certain portions of great Tythes[sic] ………..

Richard Hudson Esq. is Lessee for years under the said Dean and Chapter. Charles Hanford Esq. is the owner of a small portion of Tythes ………

the Rev. William Probyn Clerk is the present Vicar thereof ……..

 And whereas the said Edmund Wigley and Mary Jew and the said Dean and Chapter are the Proprietors of the Open Fields Meadows Pastures and Commonable and waste Lands within the said Hamlet and the said Benjamin Bedford Robert Wilson John Greaves Abigail George Edward Quarrell and others are tenants by copy of Court Roll or by Lease under the said Dean and Chapter of their said Lessee and Lord Farmer, of part of the said Open Fields Meadows Pastures Commonable and Wastelands …….. the said Open Fields ………….. lie intermixed and dispersed in small parcels inconveniently situated for the owners thereof and would be advantageous if lands were divided and allotted to and among the several parties interested and such Allottments[sic] inclosed cannot be effected without the Aid and Authority of Parliament Commissioners - Thomas Fulljames of Hasfield in County of Gloucester gentleman

3 guineas a day to be paid to commissioners. Meetings held in Pershore or within 8 miles thereof.

Unto and for the said Dean and Chapter and their successor for the time being the same Benjamin Bedford as their (?) lessee and Lord Farmer and the same John Graves as lessee under the same Benjamin Bedford …… those four several parcels or allotments whereof situated in

Lower Field …….

3rd Allotment also called Shop Close containing 1 acre and 17 perches late belonging to John Graves.

4th allotment herein awarded to John Graves.

 

Edmund Maysey Wigley Esq.

1st Allotment -the said private carriage road numbered VI on the said map or plan and the second allotment herein awarded to the said Dean and Chapter Benjamin Bedford and John Graves is an old enclosure also called the Half Corner containing two roods and twenty one perches late belonging to the said John Graves

 

Jane Wilson 1st allotment all that part of an old enclosure called Cow Leasow containing rive acres 3 roods and 35 perches also late belonging to the said Dean and Chapter and Benjamin Bedford and John Graves

 

2nd Allotment 17 acres 2 roods 38 perches ………     this allotment being awarded to the said Dean and Chapter Benjamin Bedford and John Graves.

1.3.30 3rd Allotment …….. an old enclosure intermixed with Lower Ground late belonging to the said Dean and Chapter Benjamin Bedford and John Graves and the said Dean and Chapter and Edward Quarrell respectively bounded by the third allotment herein awarded to the Dean and Chapter and John Graves

The said commissioners let out allot and award unto the said Dean and Chapter or their Lessee the said Richard Hudson Edmund Wigley Charles Hanford and the said vicar and other persons entitled to tithes……

(There were twenty one pages of closely written details of plots of land cattle, feeding, tillage, gates, ditches, quickset fences with oak, ash or elm posts and double row of rails, orchards, woodlands, gravel, stone and sandpits , brooks, drains, ditches, watercourses, tunnels and bridges. No sheep to be kept in the New Inclosures for Seven Years.)
